# Brief History of KRIBS
Korea Research Institute of Bio Science (KRIBS, 한국생명과학연구소, company website) was established in Techno Park Bio Center located in Chungcheongbukdo, Korea in 2006.
The founder and CEO Kim Yun-Gyu, Immunology Ph.D, used to worked in bio research and pharmaceutical companies such as KIST (Korea Institute of Science & Technology), KRIBB (Korea Research Institute of Bioscience & Biotechnology), Hyundai Pharmacy, Chong Kun Dang (a major pharmaceutical company in Korea), etc.
Also the head of KRIBS research lab Park Myeong-rye, wife of the CEO Kim Yun-Gyou, is a ScD on Applied Biological Chemistry and an international esthetician license holder
As a company run by a research-base CEO, over 30% of the whole KRIBS team are researchers and they put about 15% of its sales into research and development to improve technical capability.

KRIBS established its own cosmetics & OTC items manufacturing facilities In 2017 and has shown various achievements by working with academic and industrial partners.
With the CEO and in-house Mater/Ph.D researchers' knowledge, KRIBS has developed core bio technologies such as Fermentation, Sterilization, Cell, Nano, and Capsulation tech.
Based upon the technologies, KRIBS has earned over 20 patents, over 30 thesis, and performed various clinical tests and submitted reports.
# Achievements as ODM Company
As KRIBS started as a pharmaceutical / chemical engineering manufacturer, their achievements within cosmetics industry may get underestimated.
However, by applying their core bio technologies, their experiences at research and development have helped develop high quality cosmetics products so far.
They also earned USDA organic manufacturing certificate and get an annual inspection every year.
The certificate proves that no chemical fertilizer or insecticide is used within 3km radius of the manufacturing site, which means KRIBS even prepares nature friendly manufacturing facilities too.

KRIBS has been working with various small and big beauty brands: CLIO, Scinic, Goodal, Readers, etc.
KRIBS also have collaborated with TV home Shopping companies to create a new brand such as Yoo Hwa Yeon (traditional Oriental cosmetics).
They also have launched their own brand "MED-LINE" and present multi functional formula and bio technical products made of special cosmesceutical ingredients developed by KRIBS.

# Becoming Global ODM Company
KRIBS recorded about US$2M sales in 2016 that is quite smaller comparing to other big ODM companies like Kolmar or Cosmax.
However, thanks to the high quality products they make for various brands, their ability to make cosmetics has been adding better reputation in the industry.
CEO Kim Yun-Gyu has a vision to become a global ODM company based on their technical background.
"We have been working with various companies and researching labs to maximize our ability to meet global companies' needs. We try to keep our core value and philosophy to pursue as we have been working on and provide them in the globe."

1. SCINIC - All In One Honey Ampoule
11st's private label brand SCINIC's best selling all in one ampoule line is made by KRIBS.
The Honey Ampoule is made of propolis ingredient base that helps moisturize skin to be glowing at a very affordable price.
2. SCINIC - Hyaluronic Acid Ampoule
SCINIC's another best seller, Hyaluronic Ampoule is also made by KRIBS.
The ampoule contains 95% of Hyaluronic acid solution to formulate powerful moisturizing shield on skin to help moisturize and protect skin.
It also contains various natural ingredients: green tea, Centella asiatica, Glycyrrhiza, etc. to calm skin.
3. MED-LINE - Calmazulen Capsule Cream
This Calmazulen base cream of KRIBS's private label brand MEDLINE helps calm, moisturize, lift, and brighten skin.
It contains a core ingredient Calmazulen Complex and patent skin-calming ingredient Phyto Oligo to maximize its calming effect on skin.
It proves its effect by MFDA (Ministry of Food and Drug Safety) verified clinical test as well.
4. Nurisoop - Nuriberry Aronia Cream
A natural cosmetics brand "NURISOOP" provides Aronia base line made by KRIBS.
The Aronia Cream is made of various natural ingredients such as Aronia, Betaine, Shea Butter, Aloe, Xylitol, etc. to help moisturize and calm skin.
This lightweight not sticky cream is well used especially under hot weather.
