On July 30th, a singer Hong Jin-Young's own cosmetics line "Hong Shot 홍샷" was ranked #1 on entire Beauty/Cosmetics category.
Hong Jin-Young announced that she would launch Hong Shot on July 31st.
Right after her appearance on a TV show "Life Bar" in March 2018, foundations that cover red face after drinking alcohol perfectly was once a hot topic.
After the topic was mentioned quite may times on Facebook, Hong Jin-Young uploaded a makeup tutorial for it through her Youtube channel Ssamba Hong.
Hong Jin-Young's personal makeup artist also introduced other tutorials: how to mix a foundation and BB cream & how to mix 2 different concealers.
After those tutorials and tips, Hong Jin-Young announced that she would make her own foundation that does not need to be mixed with others.
She announced it on her Instagram account and ran a naming contest with threads to pick a brand name: finally it was named "HONG SHOT".
She also uploaded "how to use" videos with samples and other marketing campaign videos.
On July 30th, she visited Hong Shot's manufacturing site and interviewed researchers to explain the product through her Instagram Live video.
