On Nov 25th, "Urea Cream" was ranked #1 on the entire Beauty/Cosmetics category as the most searched keyword.
"Urea" itself was ranked #2 as well.
On Nov 23rd, TV Chosun's popular show "Manmulsang (meaning 'Retailer for everything' in Korean)" directed a special lesson session to prepare winter.
The lesson was managed by Pi Hyun-Jung, also known as Director Pi, and she introduced how to make a luxurious-moisturizer-like 24 hours lasting moisturizer with only KRW 4,000 (USD 3.54).
Her recipe to make the moisturizer was to mix Urea and a normal moisturizer with 1:3 ratio.
To make a special eye cream, mix Urea and a normal moisturizer with 1:1 ratio.
This went viral online very quickly and the two keywords - Urea Cream and Urea - became the most searched keywords.
After the show, many of questions regarding Urea have been generated through beauty communities.
As Urea was also known for moisturizing feet, some people are a bit suspicious if it is OK to use it onto their face.
